ALIYA offers a choice of two dental plans administered by Aetna:
When you enroll in either plan, you will log on to the Aetna website to retrieve your Aetna dental ID card for you and each enrolled dependent. Because Aetna dental network providers have agreed to discount services for plan members, your dollars will go further by using a contracted dentist.

The Flexible Spending Account allows employees to take advantage of the provisions in Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code. This Code section provides that payroll deductions for health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and child care will be taken on a before-tax basis. This plan must always comply with the latest requirements of the IRS code and therefore changes may occur without notice.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) – Medical:
During your enrollment period, you set amounts for the upcoming year based on an estimated amount of medical expenses for the upcoming year. The amount is divided by the number of pay periods in the year and then redirected from each paycheck – before taxes – into your account. The Flexible Spending Account is provided by Flex Facts. You receive a debit card for most expenses, or you can submit your receipts and a claim form as found on the Forms section of the intranet. Either way, the account reimburses you in tax-free money. The maximum contribution in 2024 is $3,200 and the minimum is $650.
Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) – Dependents:
This plan works much like the Flexible Spending Account mentioned above. At the beginning of each year, you decide the amount needed to cover dependent care costs over the course of the year. When you incur eligible dependent care expenses from any allowable provider, the account reimburses you in tax-free money. This covers most of the expenses related to the care of an eligible dependent so that you can work full time. If you are married, both you and your spouse must work full time, or your spouse must be disabled or a full-time student, to qualify for this account. The maximum contribution in 2024 is $5,000.

Telehealth expenses are also newly eligible expenses under an HSA. For HSA purposes, these expenses are covered without requiring that the HDHP deductible be met. Click here for thousands of HSA-eligible items!
All the money in the account is yours to keep, even if you leave or retire. At the end of the year, any money in the HSA rolls over to the next year—you never lose it! The 2024 annual maximum contribution is $4,150 for an individual or $8,300 for a family.

Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account:
If you enroll in an HSA, you can also enroll in a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA) in 2024. LPFSAs are tax-advantaged savings accounts that allow you to deposit a portion of your pre-tax income into a spending account. However, an LPFSA only covers eligible dental and vision expenses not medical expenses. This account is for people who want to contribute to an HSA, but also have expected dental and vision expenses. The IRS limits how much you can contribute to your LPFSA every year. You can contribute up to the 2024 IRS maximum of $3,200 to your LPFSA.
