ACA Value Plan Option.

You can view your annual MRA statement detailing your account and those of your dependents on GuardianAnytime.com.

Flexible Spending Accounts ▼

Administered by FlexFacts

The Flexible Spending Account allows employees to take advantage of the provisions in Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code. This Code section provides that payroll deductions for health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and childcare will be taken on a before-tax basis. This plan must always comply with the latest requirements of the IRS code and therefore changes may occur without notice. FSA elections run on the calendar year; you cannot make changes to your FSA contributions during this enrollment period.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) – Medical:
You set amounts for the calendar year based on an estimated amount of medical expenses. The amount is divided by the number of pay periods in the year and then redirected from each paycheck – before taxes – into your account. The Flexible Spending Account is provided by FlexFacts. You receive a debit card for most expenses, or you can submit your receipts and a claim form as found on the Forms section of the intranet. Either way, the account reimburses you in tax-free money. The maximum contribution in 2026 is $3,400.

Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) – Dependents:
This plan works much like the Flexible Spending Account mentioned above. You decide the amount needed to cover dependent care costs over the course of the year. When you incur eligible dependent care expenses from any allowable provider, the account reimburses you in tax-free money. This covers most of the expenses related to the care of an eligible dependent so that you can work full-time. If you are married, both you and your spouse must work full time, or your spouse must be disabled or a full-time student, to qualify for this account. The maximum contribution in 2026 is $7,500.

How does it work?

  1. Choose your annual election for each flex plan, based on your anticipated expenses
  2. Your annual election is deducted pre-tax from your paycheck in equal amounts during the plan year
  3. Swipe your card for eligible expenses or submit a claim for reimbursement

*Please note that the next enrollment takes place in January 2027*

Health Savings Account ▼

Administered by FlexFacts

If you enroll in the BCBS 3000 HDHP medical plan, you are eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA). Avenues Recovery Center will manage your pre-tax payroll deductions for you if you chose to contribute to your account. An HSA is an interest-bearing savings account used to pay for eligible medical, prescription drug, dental, or vision expenses. Over-the-counter drugs and menstrual products are now eligible expenses under the HSA!

Telehealth expenses are also newly eligible expenses under an HSA. For HSA purposes, these expenses are covered without requiring that the HDHP deductible be met. Click here for thousands of HSA eligible items!

All the money in the account is yours to keep, even if you leave or retire from Avenues Recovery Center. At the end of the year, any money in the HSA rolls over to the next year—you never lose it! The 2026 annual maximum contribution is $4,400 for an individual or $8,750 for a family.

Investing your HSA Funds:

  • A powerful tool for retirement savings
  • Maintain a $1,000 balance in your cash account to start investing.
  • Withdrawals for qualified medical expenses are tax-free.
  • Move your investment funds to your cash account at any time.

Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account:
If you enroll in an HSA, you can also enroll in a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LPFSA) in 2026. LPFSAs are tax-advantaged savings accounts that allow you to deposit a portion of your pre-tax income into a spending account. However, an LPFSA only covers eligible dental and vision expenses not medical expenses. This account is for people who want to contribute to an HSA, but also have expected dental and vision expenses. The IRS limits how much you can contribute to your LPFSA every year. The maximum contribution in 2026 is $3,400.
