Active Enrollment & New Enrollment Process ▼

All Flexible Spending Account (FSA) participants must take action. This is also an active enrollment for Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Insurance. You must take action to ensure coverage in these plans! All other benefits will automatically roll over for 2027.

Enrollment Process
Benefits are more important than ever, and we encourage you to spend extra time evaluating your benefit options and electing the benefits that best support you and your family. As such, this year you will have the unique opportunity to enroll in benefits with the guidance of a professional benefit counselor!

The benefit counselor will provide individual enrollment support to help you elect the benefits that best support your needs. Benefit counselors are available by phone to speak with employees one-on-one. During your individual appointment, the counselor will:

  • Review your benefits options
  • Answer questions and provide additional information
  • Enroll you in your benefit selections

What's New and Changing ▼

  • New Benefit Options! We are pleased to introduce three new voluntary benefits for 2027. And during this enrollment period only, you can also elect coverage without answering medical questions!

    • Accident Insurance pays a lump-sum cash benefit directly to you! When you suffer an accident such as a burn or broken bone, this plan provides a cash benefit based on your injury(s) and the treatment you receive.

    • Critical Illness Insurance pays a lump-sum cash benefit directly to you to help pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses or any other bills. Covered conditions include heart attack, stroke, cancer, and more.

    • Hospital Indemnity Insurance pays a lump-sum cash benefit directly to you as it helps offset the out-of-pocket expenses related to hospital stays, emergency room trips, and hospitalization due to childbirth and post-childbirth hospital stays.

  • As we simplify our benefit offerings, the Cigna EPO plan is being discontinued for 2027. All current Cigna EPO members will be automatically enrolled in the UMR EPO plan effective January 1, 2027, unless you select a new medical plan during Benefits Open Enrollment.

  • If you do not plan to enroll in medical coverage, be sure to complete your enrollment and elect the Medical Waiver Credit during Open Enrollment. Employees who waive medical coverage may be eligible to receive a $30 monthly credit; this benefit must be actively elected each year.

Vision ▼

Administered by Davis Vision

Even if you don’t wear glasses, regular visits to your eye doctor are important to your overall health. That’s because a routine eye exam can often detect early signs of serious health conditions like diabetes.  A group vision plan makes it easier to get the care you need and lower your costs.

All plans cover annual exams, lenses and frames, or contacts in lieu of glasses. Select from two vision insurance plans through Davis Vision.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) ▼

Administered by Medcom

Save tax dollars and tap into future savings through an FSA. Determine your per paycheck contribution in the beginning of the year, and then spend those funds on qualified health expenses or dependent care expenses as needed before the plan year ends. Important: This is a use-it or lose-it benefit, meaning if you contribute more than you spend in the year, then you will forfeit any unused monies.

Healthcare Flexible Spending Account:

During open enrollment, you set amounts for the upcoming year (minimum $240 – maximum $3,400) based on an estimated amount of medical expenses for the upcoming year. The amount is divided by the number of pay periods in the year and then redirected from each paycheck – before taxes – into your account. You can use it to pay for out-of-pocket medical, dental & vision expenses as well as certain over the-counter medications.

Dependent Flexible Spending Account:

Dependent FSA's can be used to pay for child or adult day care expenses while you and your spouse work or attend school. The money you contribute to your dependent care FSA is deducted from your paycheck over 24 pay periods and deposited into your account. The total funds you contribute annually are not immediately available at the beginning of the plan year. This is an important difference between a dependent care FSA and a health care FSA. As soon as you have money in your dependent care FSA, you can use it to pay for eligible dependent care expenses. The maximum contribution annually is $7,500.
