Hana Group (Peace Dining dba Genji, LLC) will continue to offer the Minimum Essential Coverage plan through Ternian. The MEC plan is provided to all Non-Exempt employees working 30 or more hours per week at no cost to you. You have the option to add coverage for your spouse and/or children for an additional cost.
Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) covers 100% of the government’s listed Preventive and Wellness services when you see an in-network provider. The MEC plan covers the mandated preventive services for children and adults, not the cost of the doctor’s visit.
Continuing this year, you have the option of two affordable plans to enhance your medical coverage. You still include all of the covered preventive services, as well as additional benefits
Hana Group (Peace Dining dba Genji, LLC) offers a short-term disability option through Lincoln Financial Group at no cost to you the member. This benefit covers 60% of the claimant’s average weekly wage, but no more than the max benefit allowed of your weekly base salary up to $500/week. The benefit begins after 14 days of injury or illness and lasts up to 13 weeks.
Accidents are a fact of life.
Accidents and unexpected injuries are a fact of life. Even the healthiest and most safety-conscious employees find themselves on the wrong end of mishaps. Accident insurance is a way for employees to help pay for medical bills and other out-of-pocket expenses that often arise after an unexpected injury.
AccidentAdvance® helps to pay what other plans may not
AccidentAdvance is not your ordinary accident insurance. It is a group voluntary 24 Hour accident-only insurance policy that can help fill gaps not covered by comprehensive health insurance plans. AccidentAdvance offers optional riders to promote healthy behavior. For example, our automobile accidental death benefit pays more if the insured is wearing a seatbelt and has airbags in the car.
Highlights of AccidentAdvance®:
Critical Illness Insurance is the perfect complement to high deductible health plans, higher co-pays and health savings accounts (HSAs). CriticalEvents helps bridge the financial gap between traditional insurance benefits and the added out-of-pocket costs associated with a critical illness. Facing a serious illness is difficult enough without worrying about the added financial stress. Critical illness insurance helps put financial control back into your hands, allowing you to focus on recovery.
While you can't predict a heart attack or stroke, you can prepare for the potential financial impact on your families by purchasing critical illness insurance. After a major health event like a heart attack or stroke, the average family incurs medical and non-medical expenses of $36,000. Critical illness insurance helps reduce the financial stress through lump-sum cash benefits -- used however you see fit.
Highlights of CriticalEvents:
Hana Group (Peace Dining dba Genji, LLC) provides Basic Life and AD&D benefits to eligible employees through Lincoln Financial Group, at no cost to you the member. The Life insurance benefit will be paid to your designated beneficiary in the event of death while covered under the plan. The AD&D benefit will be paid in the event of a loss of life or limb by accident while covered under the plan.
The benefits will decrease to 50% at age 70.
Important Reminder! Be sure to assign a beneficiary or living trust to ensure your assets are distributed according to your wishes.
In addition to the employer-paid Basic Life and AD&D coverage, you have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance to cover any gaps in your existing coverage that may be a result of age reduction schedules, cost of living, existing financial obligations, etc. Your election, however, could be subject to medical questions and evidence of insurability.
Hana Group offers Voluntary Life Insurance through Lincoln Financial Group. This coverage is available for you, your spouse, and your dependent children up to age 26.
Hana Group offers a Voluntary Universal Life plan through Transamerica. Voluntary Life Insurance can provide additional protection should the unexpected happen during your working years.
Universal life insurance is a type of permanent life insurance that provides coverage for life, as long as premiums are paid.
What is universal life insurance?
Unlike term and whole life insurance, universal life provides an additional level of flexibility.
It allows policy owners to modify the amount and frequency of premium payments as long as there is sufficient cash value in the policy to cover monthly deductions.
When the insured dies, a death benefit is left to the named beneficiaries.
In addition to the death benefit, universal life insurance also contains a cash value. The cash value grows tax-deferred until funds are withdrawn.
Life does not always go smoothly. All of us experience times when a personal problem or crisis affects the way we function at work or home. Your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a problem-solving resource available to you and your household members. A professional counselor will assist you in assessing your situation, finding options, making choices or locating further help.
It’s free…Your employer covers the cost of initial assessment, additional problem-solving sessions and referral services. If there is a need for further counseling or treatment, your counselor will help you explore various options.
It’s confidential…Your EAP has been set up with Lincoln Financial Group, an outside counseling resource to assure confidentiality. No one at work will know you have chosen to seek help unless you choose to tell them. Nothing concerning your use of EAP will appear in your personnel file.
