Health Savings Account (HSA) ▼

Administered by Optum

For Team Members working 30 hours or more per week, if you enroll into the NHP HMO HSA you will be enrolled a Health Savings Account (HSA) with Optum. An HSA is a great way to set aside tax-free money for your healthcare expenses. Because you enrolled into a high deductible health plan (HDHP), you have topay a certain amount out of your own pocket before your health plan covers your medical expenses. The funds you save into this account can cover your deductible and other out-of-pocket qualified expenses including doctor’s visits, prescriptions, dental expenses and even contacts and glasses. Kolter Hospitality will contribute $25 monthly to your HSA and we encourage you to participate as well. The funds in this account never expire, even if you change plans next year or leave the company.

The IRS limits the total amount that can be contributed to your HSA from all sources. For 2023, the IRS contribution limit is:

  • Employee Only coverage:$3,850
  • Family coverage levels: $7,750
  • Age 55+ catch-up contributions: $1,000
