This year you will see several changes to the Blue Cross Blue Shield Silver and Bronze plan deductible amounts. Employees who reside in Illinois will now also have the opportunity to enroll in a new HMO medical plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield.

All employees who enroll in the Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO (IL employees only), Silver, or Bronze plan must answer the telephonic tobacco affidavit question while speaking with a benefits counselor. Those who do not will be subject to an automatic 40% surcharge.
