Benefits are available to part-time and full-time Caregivers and their dependents who meet specific eligibility requirements. Registry caregivers are eligible for designated medical plan options. The plans generally allow coverage for a Caregiver’s legal spouse, civil union partner and/or child(ren), including biological, adopted, or stepchildren, covered from birth to the end of the month they turn age 26; to age 30 for honorably discharged veterans. When enrolling dependents, you will be required to submit proof of dependent eligibility, including the Social Security Numbers and dates of birth for your eligible dependents, and/or anyone whom you wish to name as a life insurance beneficiary. See your benefit guide for more details.
Newly hired or newly eligible caregivers must enroll in benefits during your first 30 days of being hired into an eligible position. Benefits coverage starts on the 1st of the month after 30 days of new eligibility or new hire employment.
Once enrolled, changes to your benefits during the year are limited per IRS regulations. If you have a qualified life event, you may request a change within 30 days of the change. See Benefit and Eligibility Changes or your benefit guide for a list of qualified events.
Eligible caregivers may use the online enrollment system to enroll for the first time, check on their enrollments, and make annual enrollment choices.
