Initial Enrollment (New Hire Process)

As part of your new hire onboarding process, you will be required to complete your initial benefits enrollment. You will receive an email with instructions on how to access your online enrollment. You may also access your enrollment through your Engage Employee Portal. Be sure to complete your enrollment as soon as it becomes available, so you have enough time to review your benefit options and make your elections.

Before You Enroll

Before beginning your enrollment, gather the information you will need for any dependents or beneficiaries you wish to include.

For dependents, have the following available:

  • Full name

  • Date of birth

  • Social Security number

For beneficiaries (required for certain plans, such as life insurance), have the following available:

  • Full name

  • Contact information

  • Date of birth

  • Social Security number

Choose Your Benefits Carefully

Your benefit elections remain in effect for the plan year. Due to IRS regulations, once you complete your enrollment, you cannot make changes until the next Annual Open Enrollment period unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event (QLE).

Common Qualifying Life Events include:

  • Marriage or divorce

  • Birth or adoption of a child

  • A child reaching the maximum eligible age

  • Death of a spouse, Registered Domestic Partner (RDP), or child

  • Change in child custody

  • Change in your spouse's or Registered Domestic Partner's benefit elections during their employer's Open Enrollment

  • Loss of coverage under your spouse's or Registered Domestic Partner's plan

Qualified Life Events (QLEs)

To make changes to your benefit elections, you MUST contact Engage PEO within 30 days of the Qualifying Event (including newborns). To learn more about Qualifying Events click here.
