Knock knock. Something’s at your front door, and it’s not that Amazon package you’ve been expecting. That’s right, it’s open enrollment.

October 23 - November 10, 2023

Renown's Commitment to Keeping Costs Down for Our Employees

Renown supports our employees and their families each year during an annual open enrollment period where individuals

can elect changes to their medical, dental and vision plans as well as their supplemental and voluntary benefits.

If you take advantage of Renown’s employee benefits, open enrollment is the best time to stay informed about updates and elect any changes to your benefits for next year. From Monday, Oct. 23 to Friday, Nov. 10, you hold the key to making the best choices for you and your family, whether that’s making changes or maintaining your current benefits during Renown’s annual open enrollment period.

Hourly Basic Life Insurance Increase ▼

New next year, Renown is proud to offer an increased employer paid life insurance benefit for hourly employees to one times the employee’s annual pay, up to $100K.

What's changing: This benefit has increased for hourly employees from $15K up to $100K.

Medical Rate Change ▼

For full and part-time employees, there will be a modest adjustment in medical rates next year, with increases ranging from just $3 to $7 per paycheck. This adjustment allows us to continue providing exceptional benefits while ensuring our commitment to your overall well-being.

Urgent Care Deductible Removed ▼

Starting next year, there will no longer be a deductible for urgent care visits at a Hometown Health in-network provider and employees will instead only pay 30% coinsurance.

Options to decrease out-of-pocket costs: Urgent Care visits at a Renown/WCA facility are still just a $30 copay and no deductible applies.

Brand Name Prescriptions at Renown Decrease ▼

We are pleased to announce that copays for preferred brand name prescriptions filled at Renown Pharmacy will be reduced from $35 to $25 next year.

Beginning next year, the pharmacy benefit manager for Renown’s employee health plan is changing from Maxor to Optum. This will mean that copay assistance cards no longer apply to the pharmacy deductible on the Hometown Health in-network tier for preferred and non-preferred brand name prescriptions.

Options to further decrease out-of-pocket costs: Copays are lower for prescriptions filled at a Renown Pharmacy, including brand name prescriptions for a $25 copay or $50 for a 90-day supply. Ask your provider to send your prescription to one of the three pharmacy locations. Integrated with Renown medical records and in direct contact with Renown providers, you can quickly request refills and even check your prescription status in MyChart.

What's Staying the Same? ▼

What about the many extraordinary benefits Renown already offered? Don’t worry, these are all staying the same.

  • MetLife Dental continues to offer a larger network of dentists with the PDP Plus network to keep your teeth pearly white.
  • The Roth 401(k) option is available for employees through Vanguard. The Roth 401(k) allows you to contribute after-tax money to your retirement fund. That means you can make tax-free withdrawals of these funds in retirement, potentially saving you on taxes down the road.
