Discover your benefit era! Open Enrollment will begin on Friday, Nov. 1 and run through Monday, Nov. 25, right before the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Era of TAKING ACTION ▼

This is a passive open enrollment year, which means you are not required to re-enroll in benefits unless you decide to make changes or elect any new benefits. However, employees are required to complete the following every year:

  • Re-enroll in flexible spending accounts (FSAs).
  • Complete the Spousal Affidavit if you have a spouse covered on your medical plan.
  • NEW: To keep your short-term disability coverage, you must re-enroll in Renown’s new short-term disability plan with The Standard. Your Aflac plan will end on Dec. 31, 2024.

The Era of CHANGE ▼

Renown is committed to maintain a well-designed benefit plan that keeps your low out-of-pocket expense the same for next year. In order to balance our generous medical plan with significant increased costs for 2025, we will be increasing employee premiums.  Renown will be absorbing a large majority of these overall costs.  See below for details.

  • Renown’s partner, Gallagher Benefit Services, has projected that medical and pharmacy claims will increase significantly in 2025. Renown is committed to maintaining a well-designed benefit plan that keeps your out-of-pocket expenses the same for next year. In order to balance our generous medical plan with the increase in claims costs, we will be increasing our premiums. These new premiums cover a small portion of the additional costs, as Renown is absorbing the large majority of the increased claims costs. See the rates at the bottom of this section. 
  • The Medical FSA enrollment limit has increased, and you can now enroll up to $3,200 in 2025.
  • Our short-term disability benefits administrator will change from Aflac to The Standard. Instead of choosing a flat dollar amount, the coverage options will be 40%, 50% and 60% of your base salary. You MUST re-enroll in our short-term disability benefit for 2025. 
  • During Open Enrollment, the long-term disability plan will have no medical underwriting for new enrollees. This means you will not have to go through the approval process to enroll in this benefit.
    • NOTE: If you were previously denied by The Standard, your denial will remain in place.
  • New next year, The Standard has increased the supplemental life insurance benefit for all employees to a maximum of five times the employee's salary up to $1,000,000. The guaranteed issue amount will also increase for all employees to $350,000 from $200,000, meaning you can enroll in a higher life insurance amount without answering any medical questions.
  • The MetLife Legal High plan will now support Reproductive Assistance Law and Caregiving Services via Family First   See details here for Reproductive Assistance & See details here for Family First
  • Hometown Health is changing their national network from PHCS to Cigna. dependents residing outside of Nevada must have their correct address in UKG. Click on the how-to-guide below to update a dependent’s address, see details here.

2025 Benefits Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for your 2025 benefits will be held November 1 - 25, 2024. All benefit-eligible employees may speak with a professional benefits counselor to elect or waive coverage. During your one-on-one appointment, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, design a benefit package that best supports your personal needs, and enroll yourself and your dependent(s) in coverage.

Scheduling an appointment is easy:
